American Dry Cleaning Company has always prided itself on delivering our customer’s outstanding service no matter which of our services they choose, from our expert dry cleaning services to our full laundry service or specialist tailoring and repairs.

In a continuing effort to deliver our customers with more of our exemplary services that use a long history of specialist knowledge and experience, we are pleased to announce our acquisition of Perkins Dry Cleaners in Holland Park, London.

What attracted our management team to take over the Perking dry Cleaners outlet in Holland Park is its long 45-year history in the area. We took over the branch following the retirement of the existing owner.

By adopting this branch and inheriting the existing staff, our team will benefit greatly from the passion, experience and dedication that the in-house staff will bring with them.

Valuable skills

In a recent press release, American Dry Cleaning Company founder, Julian Stone, said: “This is a 45-year-old established business with a great old school skill base. This acquisition adds and strengthens something very special to our portfolio that is in limited supply in the industry – old school craftsmen that really know the art of dry cleaning and laundry.”

This acquisition will also add great value to our portfolio of locally-based London branches that are conveniently based within easy reach of our customers. This new base in Holland Park will complement our nearby branches in Kensington Church Street, Notting Hill, and Portobello Market.

The takeover of the Perkins Dry Cleaning branch in Holland Park, along with two other acquisitions this year, now means that we have 45 local branches covering the most exclusive postcodes within London, and ensuring that our loyal customers in Holland Park don’t need to travel far to benefit from our excellent dry cleaning and laundry services.

Adapting to changing customer needs

With the pandemic changing the face of many businesses, the dry cleaning industry has also suffered greatly from the necessary temporary closing of many local shops. This has seen an increase in demand for our free collection and delivery services and more demand for household laundry and wash and fold services as more people were forced to work from home.

However, despite the change in customer demand, we have also been able to continue to plan for the future of the business by continuing to negotiate for properties in the most ideal locations across London.

In anticipation of a large-scale return to work and the opening up of the entertainment sector over the coming months, we are confident of seeing the return of the demand for dry cleaning suits, shirts and evening wear and want to be in the most ideal locations across London to offer our services.

We are pleased that the knowledge and experience of the Perkins Dry Cleaning staff will not be lost and instead will be adopted by the American Dry Cleaning Company family. We welcome our new team members and thank them for their dedication to their profession.
